Students will learn the fundamentals of the pipa (Chinese lute) according to Levels 1-2 of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music guidelines. 学生将按照上海音乐学院 1-2 级的教材上课。

The main objective of this course is to build students’ basic knowledge of pipa performance, including basic playing techniques, performance form, and reading of Chinese sheet music (简谱).
